POSITION: High School Mathematics Teacher

 

LOCATION: Arlington High School



POSITION GOAL: To provide mathematics instruction according to the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Mathematics Teacher at the Secondary level (Moderate Disabilities or Severe Disabilities)
  • Degrees in Mathematics and Education preferred
  • Computer Science content knowledge and teaching experience desired
  • Experience working with students at the High School Level.




PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teach five sections of mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus . . . 
  • Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction, grading, communication to parents and families
  • Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director of Mathematics or Building Administrator. 

 

TERMS OF

EMPLOYMENT:      Arlington Education Association Bargaining Unit Position

 

REPORTS TO:          K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director (primary) and building principals (contributing).

 

SALARY:                  Per the Arlington Education Association Contract

 

EVALUATION:        The performance of this job will be evaluated as per the Arlington Education Association Contract.  The K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director will complete evaluations with support from the building principals.
