District Wide Social Worker

Description

We are looking for a School Social Worker to work to support the Mental Health and Social/Emotional Needs of Students across the District. 

 

POSITION: School Social Worker

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, School Psychologist, or other licensed Mental Health Provider
  2. Experience working in schools with students with emotional and behavioral health needs
  3. Experience working in a therapeutic and/or school setting
  4. Licensed by DESE as School Social Worker and/or State Licensing Agency as Licensed Social Worker

 

REPORTS TO: Director of SEL and Counseling

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Individual and group therapy with identified students
  2. Consultation with staff including coaching and professional development on social/emotional curricula
  3. Caregiver/family trainings and outreach
  4. Clinical crisis intervention, including assessment and facilitation of hospitalizations when necessary
  5. Case Management
  6. Participation in student IEP/Team Meetings
  7. Other duties as assigned by the Director of SEL and Counseling

 

Additional Skills:

  1. Experience with data collection and reporting
  2. Ability to support improved academic achievement for targeted students
