JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Lunch Monitor
JOB GOAL: The lunch monitor will support students in the school during lunch.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with children
- Flexible with duties and responsibilities. Ability to shift gears as needed.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist children in moving through the lunch line to ensure students are able to get lunch.
- Assist children as needed with opening food and drink containers.
- Monitor cafeteria during lunch to ensure that students are eating lunch and behaving according the the school rules.
- Wipe down tables at the end of each lunch group.
- Speak in a calm, professional manner to students and other staff members. No yelling at students.
- Work collaboratively with the building administration, teachers and custodians to ensure that the lunch periods run smoothly.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 180 Days. 2-3 hours per day, depending on the school.
REPORTS TO: Building Principals and Assistant Principals
Pay rate: $16.50 per hour
