POSITION: After School Program Assistant Site Coordinator
The Arlington Public Schools is looking for people to join our after-school program. We are looking for individuals who are interested in being part of an engaging after school environment for children.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS::
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Experience with Children: 2 years (Preferred)
- Management: 1 year (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to site coordinator.
- Help supervise all staff members
- Check daily correspondence from parents regarding program · Printing daily attendance and weekly schedules
- Help plan/facilitate daily staff meeting
- Help with individual staff meetings/schedule
- Verifying student absences
- Work with staff developing and coordinating curriculum/activities
- Help evaluating staff with assistance from site coordinator
- Maintains contact with school staff and teachers
- Aide staff in anyway necessary including covering for vacation or sickness
- Recording Checks/Quickbooks entries/Receipt entries
- Interacts with parents on a daily basis regarding any issues or concerns
- Help ordering snack/supplies as needed
- Coordinating field trips
- Help keep time sheets for review by director bi-weekly
- Work with site coordinator to create monthly staff schedule
- Attend monthly admin meeting
- Work with Site coordinator planning special events, i.e. guest speakers, social night, professional development
- Cover for absent teachers
- Other related duties as assigned
HOURS OF WORK/SCHEDULE
11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Some additional hours for early release days, vacations and special events
RATE OF PAY/BENEFITS
Starting salary $37k to $41k /school year (Sept - June)
