Long term Substitute English teacher Arlington High School August 28 - December 2, 2024

POSITION: High School English Teacher Grades 9 - 12

 

LOCATION: Arlington High School

 

POSITION GOAL: To provide English instruction according to the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards. This is a position that will begin in August 27 and will end on December 2 2024 with the teacher's return. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a English Teacher at the High School level

Degrees in English and Education preferred

Experience working with students at the High School Level.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach five sections of English

Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction, grading, communication to parents and families

Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director of English or Building Administrator.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:      Long Term Substitute Position

REPORTS TO:          K-12 English Director (primary) and building principals (contributing).

SALARY:                  $303-$323 Per Day

EVALUATION:        The performance of this job will be evaluated as per the Arlington Education Association Contract.  The K-12 English Director will complete evaluations with support from the building principals.
