Staff Expectations
- All summer staff will be expected to attend a one (1) hour planning session prior to the end of the school year. Details to come. For teachers and related service providers, planning time is not compensated separately as it is built into the daily rate paid during the summer session.
- Professional staff will be expected to develop their schedules and have them completed by June 6, 2025, so they can be shared with families before the end of the school year. Staff will need to communicate schedules to families at this time.
- To ensure consistency of programming and coverage, it is preferred but not required that all teachers and TAs commit to the full 6 weeks and schedule vacations around ESY (*see above). Those that cannot are encouraged to apply for substitute positions or find a job share partner.
- Classroom Teachers and Related Service Providers will collect regular data towards existing IEP goals and report on it in the Summer Summaries at the conclusion of the ESY program.
- Classroom Teachers and Related Service Providers will take and maintain daily attendance.
- Classroom Teachers and Related Service Providers will complete ALL student summer performance reports by the end of day on the last day of the program, and will provide copies to be filed and mailed as well as uploading the report into EasyIEP.
- Classroom Teachers and Related Service Providers will combine student performance reports into one document for parent(s) and district file and upload into students electronic file.
